Is there any lingering smoke smell?
After the BIOSWEEP base treatment there will be absolutely no smoke smell lingering behind. We are so confident in our methods that if you smell even a hint of smoke we will come back free of charge until you are satisfied. 98% of our smoke removal jobs are one 12 hour or less treatment that does not require coming back. We strive for perfection on the first treatment and don’t settle for anything less than complete smoke odor removal.
How does it work?
We create a large amount of ozone using advanced oxidation processes(AOP) very quickly. Ozone reacts with odor causing molecules to neutralize them. We create hydrogen peroxide vapor and hydroxyl radicals to form a soup of oxidizing power. These molecules in addition to removing smoke smell, also sterilize everything. This makes it smell even better since bacteria produce many odor causing chemicals. This is why cat urine smell is so particularly bad. It contains large concentrated amounts of bacteria. After the treatment of your home with our machines we use charcoal filters to collect all the neutralized odor molecules. This treatment works equally as well on cigarette smoke as well smoke from small fires. Ozone is great for attacking different types of odors at once. If you have a mildew smell in your basement and that was also where the smoke is too you get two odors removed for the price of one.
How long does it take to remove a smoke smell?
It takes about 12 hours or less to do a full BIOSWEEP base treatment so usually we leave the machines overnight. In the morning we come to collect them and run the charcoal filters as well as do our tests to make sure it is safe to re enter the home. Smoke removal from a car typically takes about 2 hours.
Are ozone machines safe?
Everyone leaves the home for the for the duration of the treatment. From the time the machines are turned on until they shut down nobody is allowed to enter until we give the all clear. We have equipment for monitoring ozone levels and protective safety gear for being around ozone. We are trained in handling these machines safely and make sure nobody is ever near a machine while its running. A treatment is done overnight so the residents of the home just stay somewhere else for the night. They come back in the morning after we take down our equipment, to a clean fresh smelling home.
